Aleta Crawford began painting for sale in 1986. She was trained in the use of acrylics and oils at the Museum of Fine Arts School, Boston, and also earned a Certificate in Graphic Arts and Visual Communication from Northeastern University in 1989. Crawford has done commission work in pen & ink, charcoal and oil paint. Her graphic work has frequently appeared in medical research articles and medical text books. She lives on the north shore of Long Island with her husband and two cats. She has received many awards for her work displayed in art shows.
